The natural progression of any spiritual journey
takes you to a higher plane. DJ, producer, remixer and
writer
Mark Picchiotti pilots that
plane. Mark’s “fuel” is his symbiotic relationship with
the decks, now passing the 20 year mark. During that
time, he has held residencies at many of Chicago’s
hottest clubs like
SHELTER,
SMART BAR,
MEDUSA'S,
SOUNDBAR,
BERLIN, and
CROBAR. He travels the globe spinning
his signature sound everywhere from
MINISTRY OF
SOUND (UK),
PACHA (Portugal),
EL DIVINO (Ibiza) and
CROBAR (various) to the
PAVILION on Fire Island. Additionally,
Mark is a 4 time veteran of Chicago’s largest Circuit
event,
FIREBALL. As added kudos, his
solid DJ reputation was highlighted with a request from
JANET JACKSON to DJ her private album
launch party.
Mark was recently voted one of the 40 most
influential remixers of all time. With over
200 remixes to his credit, his remix discography reads
like a who’s who of international pop superstardom
including
MADONNA,
MARIAH
CAREY,
PET SHOP BOYS,
ENRIQUE IGLESIAS and
MARY J.
BLIGE, to name a few...all of which went to #1
on the Billboard® Dance Chart.
Mark’s production career started 18 years ago
with the
LaTOUR album which spawned
the top 40 hit, “
People Are Still Having
Sex” and from the same album
“
Blue” which was featured in the movie
“
Basic Instinct” during the steamy
club scenes. As a much sought after producer, Mark
recently produced and co-wrote the song “
Give
It To Me” for
KYLIE MINOGUE
from her 8x platinum album,
FEVER, as
well as produced the song “
Butterfly”
from the
LIGHT YEARS album.
Additionally, he is responsible for producing and
writing the UK top 10 pop hit
“
Runnin'” by
BASSTOY.
Mark is also the mastermind behind gospel house act
THE ABSOLUTE featuring
SUZANNE
PALMER. A force to be reckoned with, Mark has
contributed many classic hits to the club world over
the last 18 years.
The last 12 months have seen Mark remixing 15
artists including
GEORGE MICHAEL,
ENRIQUE IGLESIAS (again) and
KYLIE MINOGUE, as well as producing 5
of his own original productions, including his recent
BASSTOY follow up "
Turn It
Up” which just went to #1 on the US Billboard®
Dance Chart
and theUK National Club Chart.
BASSTOY is exploding worldwide and is
Mark’s 2nd international hit for this act.
A versatile DJ, Mark can spin a sexy after-hours set, a
passionate morning-music groove or an uplifting,
feel-good vibe for a Sunday tea. For the big events,
Mark’s main-room DJ sets take the dance floor on a
